Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands, at the edge of Vatnajökull National Park, and sits directly on the paved highland road leading toward Snæfell and Askja. The property is accessible forvehicle types during the summer season.

After a day exploring the Highlands, unwind in our two natural hot springs surrounded by mountains and wilderness. Laugarfell is the perfect base for visiting Snæfell, Kverkfjöll and Askja.

The area is popular for hiking such as the well visited Waterfall Circle hike that start and ends at Laugarfell. Our simply furnished twin rooms offer a cozy mountain hut atmosphere, with views toward Snæfell from selected rooms. Shared bathrooms and guest facilitiesa friendly and authentic highland experience.

The on-site restaurant serves breakfast, dinner, coffee, homemade cakes and snacks. A shared living room with fireplace provides a warm and comfortable place to relax after hiking or long driving.

Laugarfell is located 75 km from Egilsstaðir, 40 km from Hengifoss and 24 km from Snæfellskáli.

The hotel day starts from hour 16:00 and ends at 10:00.

During mid-February to mid-March, roads are closed due to snowy winter conditions. Free airport transfers from Egilsstadir Airport via a super jeep is included during this period.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time.
